this is the raw video of what was to be a record of an entire wilderness canoe trip. from packing the food and gear, the drive to the BWCA ,the set up at the drive in camp the night before going into the wildness and the trip itself.in 2007-08 and 09 i had prime canoeing weather and was able to make the entire planned trip.in 10 and 11 i was stuck part way through by storms and had to hold up in the same place,Snow Bay,for days leaving me no time to make the loop.the Dismal Dave video is part of that trip. i never got around to the edit work and i was not happy with the results of some of the videos i took along the canoe path so all this has just been sitting unseen.a few phone calls to the East Coast Buddy got me thinking about them so here is a post of another one that is a bit better than the one i did in my gear storage area in the basement where you can't see what i'm pointing at.i don't plan on leaving this up for very long but maybe bits of it can be used if i ever take another try at a whole trip video.

It was a windy day on an island in the middle of Ima Lake in the BWCA. We had planned to camp here for two days but we had to stay put an additional two days because of 20-40+ mph winds that would have been very difficult, at best, to paddle in. Go to www.codabone.net for the full trip report.

This video and music montage contains pictures I took from my solo trip into the BWCA and "God's Country". 7 days n' 6 nights; 26 lakes; 24 portages - 1448 total rods; and many miles from anything resembling civilization/communication. Ahhh... peace, solitude, and true soul revival.
