There are sunsets on the Gunflint Trail that take your breath away and this was one of them. The colors were vibrant and changing as we made our way from Grand Marais to Voyageur Canoe Outfitters at the end of the Gunflint Trail. Sensational sunsets can be found often on the Gunflint Trail. |

Northeastern Minnesota's Gunflint Trail is known for its large population of moose. Visitors to the Gunflint Trail resorts like Voyageur Canoe Outfitters often see moose on their drive up the Gunflint Trail. Many of the groups we have paddle the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness also have a great opportunity to see moose on their wilderness canoe trips. The Quetico Park and BWCA are teeming with wildlife including wolf, black bear and of course our lovely moose. Come visit Voyageur Canoe Outfitters and you can watch moose on the Gunflint Trail. |

The Gunflint Trail in Northeastern Minnesota is known for its population of moose. Spring is a special time of the year when moose calves are born. They are one of the cutest baby animals and folks visiting the Gunflint Trail and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness have the opportunity to see them. Another special thing about spring on the Gunflint Trail are the spring peepers. These little frogs have a loud voice and they can be heard in swamps all along the Gunflint Trail. |
